Welcome to Bikelog. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Bikelog's Website.  

Important Notice: By accessing this website we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use Bikelog's website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

 

Purpose of Bikelog.ie Service

Bikelog.ie is a private service which is offered by the company Bikelog. Bikelog offers a free and subscription based service which allows both distributors and private users to create accounts to register bicycles and e-bikes in order to create an interactive national database and help combat bicycle and e-bike theft in Ireland.

Bikelog is a company registered in Ireland, whose registered number is 594829 and whose registered address is Clooncommons, Castleconnell, Co.Limerick- Ireland.

 

Terminology

The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this Website/Service and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions.

“The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to our Company. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves.

All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of service necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the users in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the users needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of Ireland. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

 

 

Private Users

Private users are expected to supply truthful information on all their details. Any suspicious activity will be identified and reported to the appropriate authorities.

The Websites are not intended for children. By using the Website and/or the Register, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over or that you are using the Website and/or the Register with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

You agree to use the Website and/or the Register only for lawful purposes and in a way which does not infringe the rights of any anyone else or restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the Website and/or the Register.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information contained in the Register and we will not be responsible, or liable to you or any third party for any inaccuracies. We have provided an administration service (’Your Account’) where you can review your personal information at any time to ensure it is correct and current. You will be able to update, correct, change or delete inaccurate details. If you do not have access to a computer you may contact us at the address below to request that your details be updated, corrected or deleted.

Your information is available to other users on the platform once you have a premium registration.

This is only available when a Bicycle/E-bike serial number is entered into the system. This is for the following reasons:

  • prove thebicycle / E-bike is yours
  • prove the bicycle / E-bikehas been stolen
  • change of ownership between parties
  • return bicycle / E-biketo you if recovered

 

Distributors

Distributors can register bicycles before they are sold onto a private owner. They may then use the “change of ownership” option to change bicycle into owners name.

You agree to use the Website and/or the Register only for lawful purposes and in a way which does not infringe the rights of any anyone else or restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the Website and/or the Register.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information contained in the Register and we will not be responsible, or liable to you or any third party for any inaccuracies. We have provided an administration service (’Your Account’) where you can review your business information at any time to ensure it is correct and current. You will be able to update, correct, change or delete inaccurate details. If you do not have access to a computer you may contact us at the address below to request that your details be updated, corrected or deleted.

 

 

Third Parties

An Garda Siochana have been given permission by the user and distributor to access their personal information at their own discretion by users agreeing to terms and conditions.

We employ the use of cookies. By using Bikelog's website you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with Bikelog’s privacy policy. Most of the modern day interactive web sites use cookies to enable us to retrieve user details for each visit. Cookies are used in some areas of our site to enable the functionality of this area and ease of use for those people visiting.  Some of our affiliate / advertising partners may also use cookies.

Unless otherwise stated, Bikelog and/or it’s licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on Bikelog. All intellectual property rights are reserved.
